The Making Progress Of SpaceBar! About Game Design And Unique
SpaceBar is my first project and like everyone, this was too hard for me at the beginnig.
The project was simple in my mind. There is some trying to kill you and youa re just running away from them. But things not working like this :D.
Character controller was my first question. “How should i do the base movement” this was the main question for me. Because there are so much platformers and they are all look alike I wanted to make controls more basic, also did the same in gameplay.
The second thing that compels me is graphics. Like the gun, like the ammo counter and especially lava. These are the most challenging things for me. Gun was the simpliest among them. You can watch how i modelled it from here
Lava: Lava was the maim thing about graphics. You see lava at every second so its have to be perfect. It taked one night, i worked about 7 hours for it. It was horrible but it was very instructive. I learned basics about shader graph…
Ammo Counter : Maybe the things that makes player remember SpaceBar is ammocounter. It was more easier than lava ofcourse, but it has its own difficulties. Progress was so detailed so all i can say the ammocounter is the most original thing i did in SpaceBar. All codes and all graphics belong to me, the idea about how i can make ammocounter is belong to me. I know spacebar isnt the only game using ammocounter but i mean the way i did is so weird ?? Its belongs to me because of this lol. I think other games did the same work more clever…
I dont want to make it longer. Have fun while playing it! See you at next devlogs…
